We Know How to Store Sarees for Long Time — We Test Every Method

Real testing in real wardrobes through real Indian monsoons. From hang vs fold to saree storage organisers protect bridal heirlooms — we research the best way to store sarees so you don't have to guess.

Why We Started This

It started with a ruined Kanjeevaram. My grandmother's saree — the one she wore to my parents' wedding — came out of a plastic storage bag with yellow patches that wouldn't wash off. The bag was supposed to protect it. Instead, it trapped moisture for months and slowly destroyed the fabric.

After that, I went down a rabbit hole. I bought every saree organiser I could find on Amazon. Cotton bags, muslin wraps, hanging organisers, vacuum bags, drawer dividers — 15+ products over two years. I stored my own sarees in them and waited. Some worked beautifully. Others failed within weeks.

That's what this site is: the results of that testing. Every recommendation here comes from storing real sarees in real organisers through Mumbai's monsoon season — the toughest conditions for fabric storage in India.

What We Believe

Test Before Recommending

We never recommend a product we haven't stored sarees in for at least 3 months. Most products we test for 6+ months before publishing.

No Sponsored Rankings

Our rankings are based on test results, not affiliate commissions. We do earn from affiliate links, but that never influences which products we recommend.

Indian Conditions First

Most storage advice online is written for Western climates. We test specifically for Indian conditions — monsoon humidity, compact wardrobes, and heavy sarees.

Say When Something Fails

If a product fails our test, we say so. We've rejected popular organisers that looked good on paper but couldn't handle real monsoon conditions.

How We Make Money

We earn a small commission when you purchase through our affiliate links. This costs you nothing extra — the price is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the seller.

This commission funds our testing. We buy every product ourselves (no free samples from brands), run the tests in our own homes, and spend months evaluating each one. Affiliate income keeps this site running without ads or sponsored content.

If we ever stop earning enough from affiliate links to fund proper testing, we'll shut the site down rather than accept paid placements or compromise our recommendations.
